Since this page was first written in 2014 the blue X10 shown here was dropped on a greasy flyover in the wet, at end of March 2015. This bent the frame ergo it was written off by the insurers. However I was then able to get a brand new one ~ in pearl white! (bianco perla)

HIS WAS AN IMPULSE buy, it's kind of like the economy 3-door hatch of the bike world. Very good though, check out the reviews on YouTube.
The 350 ie power unit:
Parking brake wasn't working, I now think that it had been slackened right off so that the bike can be moved while leaving sidestand down. (The sidestand applies the brake.) Got new pads for it anyway and stripped cleaned and greased the caliper.
USB charger socket for your iPhone etc...
"Tail lights borrow from car design" (somebody wrote somewhere!), each comprises of a row of seven red LED's that shine down onto a corrugated reflector that scatters the light. Brake lighting achieved simply by making them brighter. Indicators however are 10W orange bulbs. Headlight bulbs are H7, and there's two of them for dip beam.
Cigar lighter socket for accessories ~ also very handy for connecting a battery charger, and/or a solar panel charger.
Trial fitting a Givi screen, which has improved weather protection. However I found it much too high for my taste (can only look through the actual screen, which I don't like at all), so ...
... I cut the top off (5.5 inches worth), does look better as well I think. As a guide, the radius of the cut is from the lower front tip of the screen, and is 28 inches, same as the stock screen. However it is higher, because the Givi has a more upright angle.
There are a couple of probs with the design I'm sorry to say ~ because of how the rear mudguard is moulded it does not protect the number plate illumination lamp, and I found mine was full of mud! (I thought the bulb wasn't working at first, it was, but buried in dried mud.) I made the following from the lid of a 2 kg ice cream tub, it's about 5.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches high.
The 'shield' in situ ~ top edge held by cable clip for the wire pair that supply the number plate lamp:
Requires two screws to be visible on the outside, but black Allen dome heads are not out of place.
Next problem is that the underside of the fusebox is also open to spray from the rear tyre. This is because the fuse board can only be inserted into the battery compartment from below while loom is attached, but nobody thought about closing it afterwards! Here's my first abortive attempt at making a shield:
